Carina swims from Tabarca to Alicante 18km

On Friday 14 June, Sterling EQ’s acclaimed flautist Carina Bruwer, swam from Tabarca Island to Alicante in Spain, in windy and challenging conditions. This 18km crossing was a Swim for Hope in support of Muzukidz; an organisation in Cape Town that offers the opportunity to children from nearby townships to learn the violin! The school has just been joined by Francesco Canada, a highly skilled Suzuki teacher from Madrid, Spain, and this swim project in Spanish waters, is intended to support Francesco’s appointment. Footage in this video was shot on a cell phone from Carina’s support boat, which was very unstable in the choppy conditions.
